The philosophy of the science program is to help young people develop the abilities to make informed and reasoned decisions. Those decisions should be for personal and public good as citizens of a culturally diverse, democratic society. The district science department provides a coordinated, systemic study of life, earth and interactions. Science draws upon the disciplines of physical science, life science, and earth science to develop a framework upon which students can gain an understanding of the world around us.
