As a member of the Sparta area School District the Family and Consumer Education department believes the purpose of Family and Consumer Education is to prepare students for the work of the family and to develop skills necessary for the world of work in related occupations. We believe the student will learn about family and learn to understand and appreciate the family as a significant social institution and its diverse role in the home, workplace, community, and world. We also believe students will become life long learners.
