The philosophy of the Art Department is to help young people make informed and reasoned decisions. The decisions should be for personal and public good as citizens of a culturally diverse society. The arts are and have been an essential part of human life since the beginning of time. They are a means of expressing ideas that matter most to individuals and society. To accomplish this, the students in the art program will explore six areas; knowing, doing, communicating, thinking, understanding, and creating.
