The girls won their first regional game Tuesday night over GET 63-23. They now play the second round regional game here Thursday at 7:00 pm. against West Salem. Tickets will be $4.00 no passes are allowed for regionals. Come in support the girls in this very tough game.
Thursday afternoon from 3:06pm to 5:00pm is mini Game Night in Mr. Bullen's room 523. Be there, have fun!

Attention Jr. and Senior Girls! The Miss Sparta Pageant will hold an informational meeting for all girls interested in becoming Miss Sparta 2010. The meeting will be held March 20th at 10am at the Colonial Bowling and Banquet Center. This meeting is mandatory for all contestants so we hope to see you there! Yearbook pictures will be taken for clubs & student organizations on Wednesday, March 17 during grad group. Please wear your club t-shirt and listen for the announcement on when to come for your picture!
There will be a mandatory FBLA meeting this Friday morning in Ms. Seipel's room at 7:15. We will be talking about the Dad 'n Daughter Dance and the trip to Action City.
There will be a mandatory Earth Club meeting this Friday after school in Herr Cook's room. There will be lots to talk about concerning upcoming events. Members who ordered shirts should bring $9.50 that night. See you there.
Do you want to make a difference? Come to a Spaghetti Supper on March 29th from 6:00-8:30 p.m. at the Sparta Community Center (across from the Boys and Girls Club) and help discuss how underage drinking affects our community. The Supporting Players will be performing a skit called "Impaired Judgment". Following the skit, a teen panel of Sparta High School students will lead us in a discussion on teen drinking. Come and support your fellow students and help support a very important cause
The Sparta High School Dance Team will be holding try outs before judges tonight. Good luck!

Sophomores, are you interested in the field of nursing? Apply for the Franciscan Skemp Summer Shadowing Program in Nursing. This is a summer program for a select number of students in the area to learn more about nursing. Applications are due April 16th and are available in the Guidance Office.
Employment applications are available from Jellystone in the Guidance Office.

Seniors: All local scholarships, applications and application instructions are now posted on the Guidance Scholarship web page. Deadlines vary, but the majority of local scholarships will be due March 26th at 7:45 a.m. in the Guidance Office.
Seniors: Would you like grants, scholarships and loans for college? You must apply for financial aid with the free application for federal student aid or FAFSA. Now is the time to apply for financial aid. Colleges have different filing deadlines so be sure you are aware of timelines. Information is on the bulletin board across from the Guidance Office or on the Guidance Financial Aid web page.
